2. B field at point P and Q (5 points)
The figure shows two wires: the left wire carries a current In coming out of the page, the right wire carries a
current 12 going into the page. The two currents are equal in magnitude: 11 = 12 = I. Consider the two points: P
(halfway between the two wires) and Q on the left side of wire 11.

a) On the figure above, at point P, draw two vectors representing: the magnetic field vector at P due to the wire
on the left, call it B1, and the magnetic field at P due to the wire on the right, call it B2.
b) On the figure above, at point Q, draw two vectors representing: the magnetic field vector at Q due to the wire
on the left, call it Bi, and the magnetic field at P due to the wire on the right, call it B2.
c) Now consider the total magnetic field vector at point P and Q, here below make another figure as the one
above drawing only the total magnetic field vector at point P and Q.
