For my robot I modified the two sensors for different purposes. There is a shorter sensor that detects obstructions and walls and one for detecting people. I modified the rubble/wall sensor by increasing the distance it can detect objects as well as the angle of spread of the sensor. The increase in angle was to help adjust for detecting objects that may fall outside of the sensor by a fraction. This small fraction often can cause the robot to get caught on obstructions as it is travelling. This change was made to help prevent that issue. The sensor to detect people was added and modified to have a further distance of detection than the rubble/wall sensor and a wider angle as well. The increased length was done in case a person was ever behind many obstructions and a smaller sensor length would not detect the person. The wider angle allowed for a bigger zone of detection for tranned neonle
