Lost Hiker Rescued on Big Pine Trail
Thanks to her own quick thinking, 10-year-old
Rosa Gomez was rescued along Big Pine Trail on
Saturday. The girl had stopped to wach a group of
deer and lost her hiking group. She tried to catch

the injury and tie a not just as she had learned to do
in first-aid training. The minutes began to strech
into hours, but Rosa stayed calm. Rescuers found
her just before dark.
